40 NRIs to be invited for discussion with UTD heads
Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has planned to invite as many as 40 NRIs for intellectual gathering with heads of university teaching departments (UTD) for discussion on image created in the world of Indian diaspora. The primary focus of this intellectual meeting will be discussion over the branding of India by the Indian diaspora, coordinator of the nodal centre of Madhya Pradesh for the G20 summit, Dr KL Ahuja told TOI.“The varsity has decided to opt for exclusive guests for this intellectual discussion and is expecting collaborations with some of these NRIs that will be invited for the meeting,” he added. As Indore is gearing for the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas (PBD), the only A+ National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) graded varsity of the state has also been making preparations for it. DAVV has been preparing the list of invitees for this intellectual discussion which is to be organised in the second week of January. Apart from this meet, the varsity is also gearing for the G20 summit as the nodal centre for the state.From Madhya Pradesh, Makhanlal Chaturvedi University Bhopal, Shri Krishna University, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, and Jiwaji University are included in this cluster for which DAVV is the nodal centre.
The University Connect programmes are being organised in joint collaboration with Ministry of External Affairs, Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS). The G20 summit will include participants such as Vice Chancellors, Professors and students from 76 universities across India who are part of it. TNN
